Our Story
The Human Fortress began with a simple question:
What if students didn't wait to make a difference?
Founded by high school student Jayla Clovis, The Human Fortress was created to transform compassion into action through projects that support children, strengthen communities, and inspire future leaders.
What started as a vision has grown into an expanding organization focused on healthcare education, student wellness, community service, and youth leadership.
Every initiative reflects our belief that meaningful change begins with people who are willing to care deeply, think creatively, and take the first step.
Although our journey is only beginning, our mission remains the same: to build a future where kindness, education, and service create stronger communities for everyone.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower young people to create meaningful change through compassion, healthcare education, community service, and innovative leadership.
We develop projects that reduce fear, promote wellness, encourage volunteerism, and inspire students to become active contributors within their schools and communities.
By providing opportunities to learn, lead, and serve, we hope to build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities—one project at a time.
